Where is the engine number?

Perkins Diesels are the most widely used engines in the world. Since 1932. over the years Perkins has expanded its engine ranges and produces thousands of different engine specifications including diesel and gas engines.

Engine model numbers can be located in several different places depending on the manufacturer and will typically be located somewhere on the outer portion of the engine shroud or housing. In some cases, it will be stamped, engraved, or printed on a tag attached to the engine, and in others, the info may be stamped directly into the outer housing.

Because the engine is configured differently for each application, it is very important to determine the actual serial number of the engine you wish to repair or replace.
